Nick Hart and his Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake
Getting a menswear specialist to makeover a high end car isn’t the most obvious route to go, but Mercedes say Savile Row’s Spencer Hart shares a creative ethos with the three pointed star, so it’s a natural fit. And actually, Spencer Hart’s creative Director, Nick Hart, has done his brand – and Mercedes’ – absolutely no harm with an appealing makeover of the Mercedes shed on steroids that is the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake. The Spencer Hart CLS gets a specially created colour - Nick Hart Midnight Blue – and instead of chrome highlights on the exterior Nick has subtle, dark shades instead.

DaimlerChrysler is planning a bid for the McLaren Group, to gain full control of its F1 operation and production of the SLR supercar. CAR Online asked DC boss Dieter Zetsche if he was considering extending Mercedes' stake in McLaren, to give the Germans control. 'It's one of the options we might exercise,' he said.
2012 Mercedes SL - will have to live without the V12
We haven’t exactly had a glut of stories on the Merceds SL of late. In fact the last story appears to have been a spy shot of the 2012 SL back at the end of 2010. But that’s because the current SL is far from cutting edge and no longer the halo of the Mercedes range.
